They can affect where we live and work. I will review classical attempts to come to terms with them (work of Jung and Freud), introduce some quantitative tools, and talk about lessons to be learned from real - world interation with psychics. Sometimes, a bit of quantitative thinking shows that things are not so surprising after all.
